The event takes place in a small valley between The Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains in the Heart of Wales - Area of Astounding Natural Beauty.
Nant y Walch Barn is completely carbon free, its power comes from a small hydro electric turbine which powers water source pumps to heat underfloor heating and provide lighting

The tournament welcomes players from all over the world to a unique location which combines a focus on Shogi with the natural ambience of undisturbed nature, the sound of rivers and birds.
The Tournament is organised by Uwe Frischmuth from the Hamburg Shogi Federation and is recognised by the UK Shogi Federation

Accommodation
Just 100 metres walk from Nant y Walch Barn is a hunting lodge with four cottages surr.unded by trees annd flowers. Each cottage has its own kitchen and a south facing balcony looking across thn valley. Further accomodation is available in the local town nearby.
