We always envisaged Nant y Walch Barn as a space for the local community.

Nant y Walch Barn provides an affordable venue space for community groups, small charities, individuals & families. Whether you need a quiet calm space to host a yoga or mindfulness group, a place for music or celebration, or an energising space for team meetings or away days, we can help.

The venue is available for hire by the hour or day and is suitable for a wide range of activities and purposes. See below for prices.

 

Prices.


Short-term hire of barn only

  • £100 for the first 2 hours, then £40 per hour (50% surcharge after 6pm)

  • £500 for 12 hours

  • Small non profit community based groups: £50 for three hours

  • Please talk to us about further reduced rates for charitable or non-profit events/groups.


Payment terms

  • 20% deposit to secure date

  • 50% 3 months before

  • Balance 1 month before

  • Date held for 2 weeks before payment

Price includes heating, lighting, sound and light system, fire bowl (wood subject to extra charge) , outdoor furniture including standing tables.

 

 FAQs.

 
  • The hire charge includes (unless previously agreed with you) access to Nant y Walch Barn, the courtyard and grounds including the glazed conservatory. The courtyard has outdoor furniture and tables. The area beside the stream has additional outdoor tables and chairs.

  • Yes, there is parking for up to 20 vehicles. Additional parking can be arranged on request.

  • There are no barriers to access to the barn with the exception of the sliding glazed windows in the conservatory. The washroom is easily accessible and all of the toilets are large. One toilet also contains additional aids.

  • The barn is licensed for the sale of alcohol until 11pm on weekdays and 12 midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Events can run until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays with previous agreement

  • We dont offer food currently but we can suggest local suppliers.

    We do provide a licensed bar

  • You can use your own suppliers (subject to them having the necessary food and health and safety standards). We do not charge a corkage fee for champagne and wine you bring to have with your meal and we do provide a bar.

  • There is a small domestic kitchen for small groups and for staff. If youi wish to provide Tea and/or coffee to your guests please discuss with us

  • You are welcoime to bring pets as long as they are kept on the lead and you clean up after them

  • We have four self catering cottages with a total of 8 bedrooms and 12 beds just 100 metres up the road at Cwm Irfon Lodge Cottages
