Private and community hire

Nant y Walch Barn provides an affordable venue space for community groups, small charities, individuals & families.

Whether you need a quiet calm space to host a yoga or mindfulness group, a place for music or celebration, or an energising space for team meetings or away days, we can help.

The venue is available for hire by the hour or day and is suitable for a wide range of activities and purposes. See below for prices.

 

Prices.

Private and company hire:

  • £100 for the first 2 hours, then £40 per hour

    (50% surcharge after 6pm)

  • £400 for 12 hours

Community and practitioner hire:

  • Small community-based groups: £50 for three hours

  • Portfolio filming and photo shoots: tailored pricing

  • Please talk to us about further reduced rates for charitable or non-profit events/groups.

We welcome any suggestions with regard to collaborative work supporting healing activities such as meditation, sound baths, mindfulness etc.


Payment terms

  • 20% deposit to secure date

  • Balance 3 months before

  • We may ask for a damages deposit

  • Date held for 2 weeks before payment

Price includes heating and lighting and the use of a small domestic kitchen, sound system and fire bowl (wood subject to extra charge), indoor and outdoor funiture.

Catering can be arranged at an extra charge.

 

 FAQs.

  • The hire charge includes (unless previously agreed with you) access to Nant y Walch Barn, the courtyard and grounds including the glazed Irfon room, its indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as sound system.

    It does not include additional staff. Catering is optional.

  • Yes, there is parking for up to 20 vehicles. Additional parking can be arranged on request.

  • There are no barriers to access to the barn with the exception of the sliding glazed windows in the conservatory. The washroom is easily accessible and all of the toilets are large. One toilet also contains additional aids.

  • The barn is licensed for the sale of alcohol until 11pm on weekdays and 12 midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Events can run until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays with previous agreement

  • We can provide a licensed bar and can also provide competitive rates for specific drinks.

    Ours is a licensed premises and it is a condition of the hire that (unless previously agreed with us) alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are provided by the bar.

    We are able to offer catering - mainly buffet or sharing platters. And we have provided breakfast and lunch buffets for corporate away days. Please get in touch with an idea for catering and we will provide a price estimate.

  • There is a small domestic kitchen for small groups and for staff. If you wish to provide tea and/or coffee to your guests please discuss with us

  • You are welcoime to bring pets as long as they are kept on the lead and you clean up after them

  • We have four self catering cottages with a total of 8 bedrooms and 14 bedspaces just 100 metres up the road at Cwm Irfon Lodge Cottages

  • We have two bell tents which are available for hire. They are pitched in the wildflower meadow by the Nant y Walch stream.

    Camping is also available in the neighbouring field. Price dependent on numbers. Tent hire also available

  • The charge is for a ‘dry hire’ so any staff required for your event will need to be hired separately. We can source trustworthy local staff for you if you require them.
