Morning Retreat (Tea Tasting & Sound Bath)
Join us for a grounding morning exploring the flavours and fragrances of teas from around the world, followed by a deeply relaxing sound bath.
Amy from Eisa Tea Co. will take us on a journey across tea regions, comparing four distinctive teas – their unique flavour profile, aroma, body, and regional story – pairing them with light palate cleansers. A truly wonderful introduction to the diversity of the tea world.
Following the tea tasting, we will be guided into a deeply meditative state with a sound bath by Gyles Palmer. Using a variety of gongs and singing bowls, you will be transported for 60-mins into a semi-sleep state, enjoying the benefits of vibrations for your physical and mental wellbeing.
Retreat to Nant y Walch
Relaxing morning yoga in our warm and carbon free centrally heated barn followed by a light vegetarian lunch a walk and a relaxing meditative Sound Bath.
On arrival, we'll be serving herbal teas as you set your intentions for the day. Lizzie Eggerton will then guide you through a 60 minute Yoga Session followed by a break and a light lunch with an optional short walk along the River Irfon.
This will be followed by a Sound Bath. Unwind to the therapeutic sound frequencies of gongs, singing bowls and other instruments as they guide you into a deeply meditative state. Research highlights the benefits of Sound Baths include reduced stress, improved mood and mental clarity.
Attendance will also include an optional free 1:1 Sound Bath at a later date.
Sarah Yaseen workshop and performance
Sarah Yaseen is bringing her beautiful Sufi-inspired music and soulful voice to Llanwrtyd Wells with a concert and workshop at the barn. The Manchester-based singer-songwriter will be playing the darabouka or guitar and singing in Urdu, Arabic and English, offering a unique blend of spiritual depth and cultural richness.
WORKSHOP: From 10am-12pm, Sarah will lead a singing workshop designed for all levels. In this interactive session, participants will explore breathing & exercise techniques and explore the Indian notation "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa."
Calan Mai folk music and storytelling
Kestrel Morton and Heulwen Williams are bringing their unique blend of storytelling, music and folklore fun to the barn, with a day and evening packed full of Spring celebrations.
2-5pm: In the day, we'll have a host of family friendly activities including Maypole dancing* and the Battle of the Seasons, interwoven with songs and stories to celebrate the end of Winter.
6.30-9pm: Then, in the evening, we'll serve and toast a drink as we light a traditional "Need Fire"*, inviting good luck and prosperity to those who walk between the flames, followed by an evening session of adult storytelling and music as the sun sets and the seasons change.
